HCS Computers was founded in 1988 by Jim Holan. Our business has grown through word of mouth advertising by extremely pleased customers. Jim has a backgound of electronics since 1976 when he worked in television repair shops. This was maintained through college where he graduated with an Electronics Degree in 1979. In 1980, Jim started working with medical electronic systems such as CT scanners, DSA systems and MRI systems. This was expanded shortly to providing managed services for all electronics in several area hospitals including lab equipment, radiological systems, IT equipment including PC's and mainframes and telephony systems.
Jim decided to start his own company in 1988 - Holan Computer Supply - which is currently doing business as HCS Computers. With his extesive knowledge of anything electronic, he has proven himself with numerous small area companies.
Key personnel with Jim are Bob Buchwald and Ken Duale. Both Bob and Ken have been working with Jim for over 17 years. Bob also posseses a college degree in electronics and is our laser printer expert. Ken received his training through classes at New Horizons Learning Center, concentrating on Microsoft products.
We also welcome our newest addition, Kyle Pratt. Kyle is still attending Columbia High School while working part time. He has been training at OEM seminars from Microsoft, Intel and others. His skills and eagerness in learning are proving that he is a valuable asset.
